Michael T Prior

Michael is the Executive Chairman of Beverly Massachusetts-based digital infrastructure, and communications services provider ATN International Inc, and Board member of the US Competitive Carriers Association. Before taking up his role as Chairman earlier this year, Michael spent 18 years as CEO of ATN and most recently was responsible for leading their ‘first-to-fibre’ strategy. Under Michael’s leadership, ATN has built and operated a portfolio of telecommunications assets in rural and regional markets with a growing demand for infrastructure investment in the USA and internationally. Their investments focus on advanced wireless and fibre connectivity for consumer, business and enterprise, carrier and enterprise communications services including terrestrial and submarine optic fibre transport and communications tower facilities.

Michael also served on the Board of Australian infrastructure start-up Stilmark before selling the business to OMERS-owned WaveConn.  Prior to ATN, Michael was a partner with Q Advisors LLC, a Denver based boutique investment bank and financial advisory firm focussed on the technology and telecommunications sectors.

Michael began his career as a corporate attorney with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LP in London and New York.  He received a B.A. degree from Vassar College and a J.D. degree summa cum laude from Brooklyn Law School.
