Michael Byrne

Michael has more than 30 years experience in Australia and internationally in the logistics, supply chain, retail and property sectors. 

Michael currently serves on a number of Boards including Ausgrid Asset Management, NSW Ports and Peel Ports UK. He is also strategic advisor on infrastructure to IFM Investors and Australian Super.  Previous roles include Managing Director of Toll Group Holdings, CEO of Coates Hire, Linfox and Westgate Holdings as well as Non-executive Director of Australia Post. 

Michael was also International Freight Coordinator, Austrade assisting with the Federal Governments COVID-19 response.  His past Boards include Sydney Airport, CBH Group and National Intermodal Corporation as well as numerous government boards. 

Michael holds a Masters of Science in Transportation and Infrastructure from the University of Denver, USA.  Michael is also Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Supply Chain and Logistics at Deakin University.
